This is a wheelchair access car 2011 (61 registration) Renault Kangoo Expression with the 1.6 petrol engine and automatic gearbox. It has covered just over 20,000 miles (this is approx 1,300 miles per year). It is finished in metallic silver and the cambelt and waterpump has been replaced in 2025, we have just had the vehicle MOT’d and have replaced all four tyres and the bulb that needed replacing. The vehicle will also be serviced prior to sale. This wheelchair accessible vehicle was converted by Constables Conversions. They have the lowered the rear floor and provided a manual wheelchair ramp. Inside we have wheelchair securing straps consisting of front and rear manual belts and there is a 3-point safety seatbelt also. There are three seats in the vehicle (two front, one rear) plus ample space for a wheelchair or mobility scooter. We also have a handy winch to help pull the wheelchair and its user (or mobility scooter) into the vehicle. My wheelchair isn’t crash tested. Can I still travel in it in a vehicle? We don’t recommend it. Crash-tested wheelchairs have dedicated securing points for the tie-down system to attach to, and have been tested to withstand the forces of a collision. Wheelchairs that haven’t been tested may not have secure fixing points, and the wheelchair could seriously fail in a crash. If your wheelchair isn’t crash tested, the safest option is usually to transfer to a vehicle seat and use the seatbelt, with the wheelchair stowed securely.
