Other specifications to this vehicle includes a screen display and DAB radio with Bluetooth. You can connect you mobile phone for Androis Auto or Apple Car Play too. The vehicle has a tailgate window will also open separately. There are reverse sensors to help with parking and manoeuvring as well. Don’t forget we also have air conditioning – useful whatever the season. Cruise control is also on this vehicle. There are alloy wheels (with the locking wheel nut of course!). Wheelchair Securing System & Wheelchair Conversion Information This wheelchair vehicle has a lowered floor, so a wheelchair or mobility scooter user can travel comfortably and with good headroom. It has been converted by Allied Vehicles. Access is through a manually operated ramp that folds flat when not in use, leaving the flat space for shopping and luggage. Each ramp has its own weight limit, so please check the vehicle layout diagram on this vehicles images or contact us for clarification. There are then four seats plus space for the wheelchair or mobility scooter (see measurements below or view the vehicle layout diagram). Once inside, the wheelchair or scooter is secured with a four-point tie-down system: Electric winch: operated from a wired remote, the winch pulls the wheelchair or scooter up the ramp and into position, so the driver or carer doesn’t have to push it up the slope -just guide it safely into position. Electric front belts: these retract and tension is at the press of a button, which makes securing the front of the chair quick and takes much of the effort out of the job. Manual rear belts: fitted to the rear of the chair and tightened by hand for a firm, secure fit. Each belt attaches to the correct securing points on the wheelchair or scooter. Using the manufacturer’s designated points matters for safety, and we’re happy to show you how to fit the belts properly at handover. The wheelchair occupant should also wear the vehicle’s seat belt (lap and diagonal) as well as the tie-downs. The tie-downs hold the chair, and the seat belt restrains the person.
